Gibson Melody Maker. Doesen't get more simple than that. Are there any other guitars out there which are just a block of wood and pieces of metal here and there? In other means, nothing fancy.

Travel guitars are like that. Ukelele's simplify it down quite well. ESP M-I NT, ESP SV-I NT - Both are single pickup guitars with 1 vol and a hardtail bridge.

The Les Paul Junior? Idk.
Breaking stereotypes by playing indie on a metal guitar.

SG? Not a lot to them but what there is is good.
I suppose the simplest ever was the Yamaha RGX110. One single coil pup, no trem or anything, vol and tone controls.
I pick up my guitar and play

My first guitar still has residue from an unfortunate ranch dressing incident
