Listening to Toys in the Attic at the moment (GREAT record), just finished Walk This Way, but couldn't help wondering how Perry gets those crazy bends at the first of the outro solo (2:45 - 3:00) . I assume it's just a whammy bar, and if it is does anyone know if he used a Strat or something else besides his Les Paul?
nope, its played just like this: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/aerosmith/walk_this_way_ver8_tab.htm

at the outro solo part. bends are pure finger power, no whammy bars needed. i believe it was a les paul he used but im not sure.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.
