I swear to god I searchbared and I didn't find any.
Or my searching skills suck, who knows.

Anyways, just a simple question on what position you strap your guitar.
Is it high like John Petrucci? Is it low like Slash?

I'm at "normal height", somewhere around my belly.

Pretty high, but not Morello or Beatles high. Like the center against my hip.

+1. My strap level is based on page. I like to keep the top of my neck pickup of my les paul exactly level with my belt buckle, the middle pickup on my strat level with my belt buckle.

I play guitar and video games on it.
You're more than welcome to check it out.

Great guitarist, but keeps his guitar at an obnoxious height.

It's practically impossible to do a good vibrato in that position.

I concur, I don't play power chords the way most people do. I play with my pinky, and my thumb on the side of the neck, instead of the back. The side facing up.

Also, I have a pretty mean vibrato, if I do say so myself.

I noticed that a lot of metal and punk guys play powerchords with thier pinky and the finger next to the pinky (whatever it's called).

A lot of rock and blues guys do it the normal, two finger way.

not true. you have 2 methods to use in that position. that clapton method (vibrato from the wrist) or the bb king method (vibrato from the finger joint). It helps to have long arms.

my vibrato is pretty sweet if i may say.

Probably because I started playing guitar with a lot of Green Day. That sounds right. I like it better.

Same way Pagey does it, a little below my waist. When I'm not performing for anybody, I'm sitting tho, even with my electric, so it ends up not mattering.
#28
Around my waist...any lower and I find it hard to move my wrist fast

I prefer the 3 finger, simply because my 2-finger can feel/sound sloppy.
Get a Carvin. Do it.

i prefer 2 finger (im ina pop punk/hard rock band) because you don't get that extra squeak. The other guitarist does do it the ''squeaky'' way, most people do it that way, but i am different, including that i am the only person i know who plays without a pic

Low enough that I can reach it with a relaxed arm

i compensate it by pressing barre chords and playing the lowest three strings.
That way it won't hurt.

Depends on what I'm playing.......
I usually just put the strap as far as it goes.

Sometimes it touches the ground when I bend forward.
