The moon, on a ratio of planet size to moon size (earth vs. moon) its the largest in our solar system compared to its parent planet. Scientists say its definately too large to have been captured by Earths gravity during formation of the solar system. Another early theory was it was slung off during Earths molten stage but later scientists say it doesnt contain enough iron to be of the earth and again it has too much mass to have been caught in Earths gravity in a molten state.

watch this part3, 4 and 5 of a good 5 part series:

(search The Universe :the Moon: episode)

Now the latest theory of the Earth being whacked by something big very early on is the accepted hypothesis BUT this ends up lending some credability to Zecharia Sitchin's ancient Sumerian story of an ancient Earth known as Tiamat being hit by a body in the Nibiru system which passes thru our system every 3600 years inhabited by alien proginators known as the Annunaki, sounds hokey to me:

http://www.crystalinks.com/nibiru.html

Perhaps we should believe John Lear and his claims that the moon is an alien craft/outpost with huge structures and propulsion systems built onto the dark side that NASA has intentionally smudged for decades?

Or should we consider what psychic remote viewer Ingo Swann as part of CIA Project Stargate (which cost taxpayers millions to psychic-spy on Russians during the cold war) saw while remote viewing the dark side of the moon? Ingo claims to have seen tracks, mining type of equipment and base type structures along with 2 humanoids while remotely viewing the dark side for an intelligence officer known as Mr. Axlerod. BTW Ingo described rings of debris around Jupiter which was unknown until Pioneer verified this a few years after his remote viewing of the planet.

You know how your left testicle hangs lower? The moon is like that left testicle.

Edit : Your threads are always about aliens and junk. I dunno bout the rest of you but so what if there's extraterrestrials, a secretive government? Life goes on.

yo' facts be lacking, bitch!

EDIT: holy crap, scientists discovered 2 new moons of Pluto in '05!

Ah, but depending what definition you use, Pluto isn't a real planet, and so might not count.
