Ok so I've recently gotten into surfing (been doing it a lot the past couple months) and I've gotten to the point where I can ride smaller waves no problem and usually at least get up on the bigger ones. Problem is, a lot of the times I basically fall off the bigger waves. Like my board keeps going forward and gets caught in the breaking wave and I fall backwards into the water. How can I avoid this??

Come in from behind the wave. You have to surprise it.
