It's on Gimme Back My Bullets

thank you, I must have looked through a full rack of skynyrd records at the record store yesterday and that one wasn't even there

Did you guys know that "Bullets" is a reference to hit songs and not ammunition? Skynyrd didn't have any big hits off of their third album Nuthin' Fancy so Ronnie wanted to illustrate his ambition with that title.

1979, a terrible year for rock

Also, That Smell is awesome. I heard it's about the band's excessive lifestyle.

More specifically, "That Smell" was influenced by a car crash that Gary Rossington got into when he was all ****ed up. He got out of that one relatively well. Allen Collins was later paralized by a crash he had after the Rossington-Collins Band had put out a few albums. It's too bad that particular vehicle didn't run out of gas.

His girlfriend was killed in the same crash that paralyzed Collins, and Collins died 4 years later off complications from that crash......

i love all the classic skynyrd albums, and the new one will surely be worth checking out i guess. heard one of the new songs on the radio and it was pretty damn good.
