Does anyone know what stock strings come with a Fender Active Deluxe P bass? I want to replace the strings with the same kind b/c I really like them. Thank you

They're the standard Fender 40-100 gauge. I'm 99% sure of it.

Personally I think they're terrible, but that's my opinion.

Haha thanks. What type would you recommend I get then?

What kind of sound are you looking for? Personally, I love the thumpiness of Rotosound 77s on a Precision.

You seem to be a punk fan so I'd reccoment some bright strings like normal Rotos or Elixirs.

Its a fact, fender strings are terrible.

Ok I'll check those out. Thank you

I used to have Ernie Ball 50-110, but they lose their sound after about a week. I just got some Rotosound 50's today and they sound a lot brighter than the Ernie Ball strings. They have a weird, almost sticky-rough finish on them though.

I personally would get at least .045s, and for downtuning to anything lower than Eb, .050s or even .055s. Brand is up to you.

Rotosound Swing 66's, 45-105 standard gauge. steel on steel for super bright,
nickel on steel for not as bright, but still very bright.

edit: www.rotosound.com for sound clips.
