Who makes the best cheap hsh 3 ply black/white/black pickguards for strats? If not HSS. I'm in the US. Around $20 is good. i cant find much of what I'm looking for. i thought many people made hsh, but i guess not.

Thanks.

hsh strats are a rare yet excellent breed - the best one IMO is a PRS EG, but they are hard to find at all, and the HSH models even harder!

I presume you mean $200, so lets have a look at options

will you buy used?

Ibanez GRGs are quite good

i think he meant just a pickguard not a new guitar
In that case try warmoth guitarfetish mightymite(sp?) ebay or maybe criagslist

alright. i'll look into those thanks. also, any suggestions for cheapo rail pickups? I want one for the mid. And a good hot humbucker for neck? I have a d activator x in bridge, so both ahve got to be pretty hot.

thanks.

Are you sure about HSH was really my only question that I forgot to ask. Just asking.

Why what's wrong with HSH? I prefer H-H, but I don't think it's right at all to not have any singles on a Strat. It's mostly just because it's a strat. I'll probably try HSS, if there's anything wrong with HSH.

i use HSH....sort of. i have duncan hot rails in the bridge, a single coil bridge in the middle, and duncan cool rails in the neck. amazing setup, i absolutely love it. i also have the rails coil tapped. so ur doing essentially the same with the 2 humbuckers, its a great setup. u can cover almost any tone except active pickup sounds. ur setup will probably be even better cause the ceramic magnets in the rails get a little harsh, i prefer alnico like in most full humbuckers.

^what he said...

I'm not trying to say you have to have humbuckers here or there but a neck single coil is pure sex. I love mine and it's a standard MIM pup SC. See?

I'm biased toward HSS. Do what you will. I think the TB-11 is 13.8k something.
