Here is a power ballad. It is written in the key of G Major (chords are G, D, C, Am7). We are actually in the process of recording this now (along with a few others). The verses and bridge all are played with a grand piano playing chords, and an acoustic guitar picking notes. The chorus is played with power chords. Drums start on the second verse and play through the rest of the song. It is not just a ballad for the sake of writing a ballad, it is a true account of something that happened to me with my girlfriend (now she is my wife). Let me know what you think of it, please?

[TITLE]
You

[VERSE 1]
There's a picture on the wall
From a place far away
The memories are almost gone
From that perfect day

I remember as you posed
Letting down your hair
Your eyes were never closed
You didn't have a care

[CHORUS]
And You are everything to me
And You are everything I need
From the top of the mountains
To the sands of the shore
You are everything and more

[VERSE 2]
oh how the time has past
I still see your face
Some things will always last
And others will fade away

You never said good bye
As you walked out the door
Fading away into the night
You're gone for ever more

[CHORUS]
And You were everything to me
And You were everything I need
From the top of the mountains
To the sands of the shore
You were everything and more

[BRIDGE]
The sun shines on the ground
Here comes the breeze
My heart starts to pound
Baby you came back to me

[CHORUS]
And You are everything to me
And You are everything I need
From the top of the mountains
To the sands of the shore
You are everything and more
