this is a repaint a did a few weeks back, before i joined UG, i figured you guys might like to see it.


btw this was a stagg bass, was cheap, got it 2nd hand, painted it, sold it on.
gotta say, that this is a awesome bass, sounds good, and the neck on it is awesome.

i used a piece of foam, sprayed paint on it, and splatered it on... simple.


oh man, that would be so epic to have metalic... well, you know what im talking about...

So you flicked the paint on with some foam.

Was it still metallic after that?

Did you sand it before spraying the clear coat?

I am curious as to how the lacquer made it flat grey.

it wasnt a laquer... i think that was why, but not it wasnt sanded on the paint. on the clear it was samded, it felt strange on the top, but kinda cool at the same time.
the back however was smooth.

If it wasn't a lacquer, what did you spray over the top?

Are you sure the paint was metallic?

the paint was metalic, i saw it with my own eyes.. lol and i have a pic of it when it was metalic, before the clear cote.

but yeah, i just used somekinda clear cote on there... not useing that again... it was shht.
ive learn from my mistakes and will use a good laquer next time.
