Vox, or Vypyr. Or, perhaps look at the low-watt tube amps, like a Blackheart little giant combo, or an Epi VJ combo with an EQ pedal, or something similar to that.

I'd say, VT for better mid-gain, Vypyr for better high-gain.
Basically the Vypyr is an amp which better fits to metal, but with some tweaking you also can get good mid-gain tones.

Go and play both in a shop IMO.

BTW I'm really happy that the Line 6 Spider III is NOT on your list.
