Well guys i got a boss ds-1 for free. I play bass and i dont use much low end so i dont care that its not a bass effect. But is there a way that i could modify it to be a bass effect or i have to live with it?

... it will work either way.
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

I know it will work. I just want to save some low end and not buy another pedal.

i play my bass through guitar **** every day, wahs, distortions hell even amps and i honestly dont notice that much of a loss from my low ends, maybe my ears just not as attuned to it as i thought

if it sounds good, play it.

thats what i generaly do with anything, with guitars to, dont be biased because somthing is cheap, if it feels nice and sounds good, then whats the problem?!

anyway, plug it in, try it out! if it aint what you want, give it to someone else.

You'll notice a lack of low end when the guitar amp breaks.
