if i put a sustaniac pickup in an active pickup set, would it still sound good or will it sound like **** cause its against the dont mix actives and passives rule.

you can actually do that, when you flip the sustainiac on it uses the signal from the bridge pickup, you do however need a separate battery for the active pickup and one for the sustainiac. Check out this link it'll answer some more questions:
