I'm planning to purchase the HT-5 head and purchase a cab separately provided it is within my budget of $240, otherwise I will go ahead and purchase a Blackstar HT-5 half-stack (only 1 10" cab), take note: NOT THE MINI STACK (the one with 2 cabs).

So what cabs out there (10" or more) are $240 or less and outperform the stock HT-5 10" cab?

thanks again

I can fit the Harley Benton G112 into my budget, factoring in shipping costs of 96 euros to Hong Kong from Thomann

Actually looks like a very viable option, thanks.

Holy crap that IS a lot hehe:P I live in Holland, which is next to Germany, so it only cost me 20 euros or so.

I really like the cabinet, so maybe you can look around for it somewhere in Hong Kong? 96 euros shipping cost is just too much IMO.

EDIT:

Maybe I can record some stuff for you? So you can hear what it sounds like?

I doubt it's anywhere here in HK. Regardless, the HB cabinet EVEN with the shipping costs is better value than most of what I can find here locally.

As for recording, that would be awesome, but I'm not sure whether it will help seeing as you're playing it through a Blackheart and not a blackstar . Thanks for the help anyway.

is Thomann the only online retailer which deals HB cabs?

Well, I'm not quite sure if it's the only place, sorry.

Yeah, it's a blackheart, not a blackstar, but still.

Don't bother.

Lord Pino is talking about the G212 Vintage cab, which is different from the G112. The G212 is a 2x12 with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, whereas the G112 is just a stock Chinese speaker. Look for something on eBay or a classified ads site, unless you can go for the G212V.

Got it, I'll see what I can do...

the g212 is pushing my budget, that's why I ended up looking at the g112. If I can't get the G212, are there other options? Or should I stick with the stock Blackstar HT-5 cab?

Avatar?

I don't think Avatar ships to Hong Kong. If they did, even a 1X12 Avatar without the huge, overseas shipping costs is over his budget.

-Gibson LP VM
-Silvertone Kentucky Blue
-MXR CC Delay
-Ibanez TS-9
-Egnater Rebel 20
-Avatar 1x12

I have an Epi Valve Jr. 1x12 and I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm sure you could do better with your budget.
