Hi,

I saw that there were some Squier fans out here so I thought it would be a good idea to place my question here.

Is it hard to place a humbucker in the bridge position? I don't want to drill and fill a lot so I'm mostly woried about changing the pickguard, I heard that you have to drill and fill. So is it possible to buy a hss pickguard that fits perfectly?
And do others have any experience with making a HSS out of a squier bullet?

Thanks in advance

Check under the pickguard. Some Squiers are routed HSH, so you might not have to do any bodywork. And Fender pickguards dont fit Squiers, so you will have to drill and fill the screw holes for the pickguard.

Depending on it's age, it should already be routed HSH, possibly even HHH.

You can buy pickguards, but they're never 'Perfect', although Fender claim they are, they're never exact.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

IIRC, Squier Bullets are either HSH or Pool routed. Either way, it should be as simple as buying a new pickguard and wiring in the new stuff. You can buy custom pickguards from a few places online and the screw holes will match right up.

Might I suggest an abalone pickguard?

Why don't you just take the pickguard off and see if it's routed?
Lets jump in a pool

Never had any GFS experience, but they'll fit, just not exact.

It's just a screw, just plug the old hole and screw a new one

I think you'd need to redrill the holes for a GFS

I already know that it has the right rout but I only want to know things about pickguards.

What pickguard is the best one to buy? or where do I have to buy one
this one is my first customise project so I dont really know a lot about this stuff...
