Hey, I just got Guitar Session IO to record my guitar playing (I have the software and the black interface box that comes with it), and I'm having problems getting the software to read my guitar signal. I had problems earlier with the software playback (it would get a signal from my guitar, but would not play it back through the speakers), but I fixed that by changing the ASIO settings and updating my Guitar Session IO driver, and in the process somehow it won't get a signal from my guitar anymore, but will play the stuff I've already recorded. I was thinking about getting a new sound card to resolve this issue, would that do the trick? My sound card is a Sound Max Integrated Digital card btw.

Don't use distortion pedals. Just bury your guitar for three weeks, and then dig it up, that should do the job.
