to be honest i was doubtful when i opened the link (cause i find my blackstar ht-dist lacking) but that amp wowed me. not the best cleans but the distortion is killer.

This amp series really isn't getting the attention it deserves!

I just tried it out it is very good. Cleans are good actually that guy is playing an rg or something. lots of headroom, open sound. £1200 tho and they dont do kt88s in the 100w version.

Damn, that looks like a hell of a versatile amp. And it sounds like a very good one

oh yeah, that video, someone posted it on another forum. I thought it sounded quite good, what worries me about blackstar is that they've got so big so quickly, and are being hyped everywhere.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Aren't these kind of threads forbidden?

Nah, I think it's only forbidden if it's yourself conducting the review.
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio. Supplied amazing music to both me and my mother.

He will be missed.

yeppers, James was playing through an HT-5 ministack. Apparently he's endorsing Blackstar by creating a signature version of the Series One amps but I think it's just a rumor.

I'm sorry to have wasted so much of your time...

All I've done is given a positive review of a British amp that no one here has barely spoke about.

Reminded me alot like my JSX. Like 90%. The crunch channel/first od channel was sounded like a jsx crunch channel.

There's a reason that no one is speaking about it. Tbh its really not anything special. Cleans are "meh" and it has a decent sounding drive channel but there isn't anything that screams "amazing" about this amp.

ill agree with this statement. It seems like it can do alot, but other than that its not like "Wow". Like i said i reminded me alot of a jsx, which means its good just not drop dead amazing.

In the video he doesn't play the warm clean which is really nice. I preferred the 100 to the 200 as well because of its EL34's. I'm not going to force anyone to like the amp. If you have a chance to play one I recommend you do so
