Hey, it's my birthday soon and I'm thinking of getting a pedal.
Now, my main style is melodic/symphonic power metal and I'm wondering which I should get

Influences include
Sonata Arctica
Rhapsody
Axxis
Helloween
Galneryus
FireWind
Kamelot

etc

His profile says line 6 spider.

To the TS: get a new amp! Pedals won't do much for your tone with that amp.
Also, grab your flameshield.
Gear:

If you are truly happy with your amp, then why are you looking for a pedal?

I suggest you stay with what you've got for now, and start saving for a 'real' amp. The spider III may not be the best sounding amp, but it's useable for metal. Just make sure you crank the mids right up
