***SUBMISSIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED***

UG: The Electronic Album

We're now into the final stages of the project. Does anyone have a filehosting account and would be willing to set up a free download of the album once it's finished? All that needs to be done is have a cover chosen and get the tracks mastered by ep1kz as soon as I've finalized the tracklist.

About 20 tracks will be on the album in total. I understand there was some confusion as when I started this thread I said I was not going to put any restrictions on the number of songs going on the album. I can genuinely say that I didn't receive a bad submission. If your song was not chosen for the album it's probably because of one of the following:

-Mix issues
-It didn't flow well
-I had already chosen enough songs to put on and didn't want to have too long an album

I apologize if your submission didn't get onto the album and don't take it to mean that your song isn't good enough. This is a guitar forum after all, most of us make electronic music as a side project, and there's plenty of time/room for improvement.

I was thinking about making a thread for you to post your electronic compositions and have them freely available for download/critique/listening. If you folks think this is a good idea say so here!

If I could compose a half-decent electronic-esque song I would, but I can't really. I've got a few things but they're not "electronic" enough I think. Nor are they good enough.

But I've seen a load of good electronic artists on here so it should be good

I'm gonna try a remix of crushcrushcrush even though I hate paramore, the words are catchy. Or this aint a scene. and if those don't pan out then one of my origionals.

This is actually attempt 3, mate. I tried to put it together after skins got banned, but there wasn't enough quality, consistency or runtime to produce something listenable.

I'll enter though, I guess.

I hope not...

Unrelated: you're from Mass? You're the first other person I've seen on here from this godforsaken state.

Any style of EDM or electronic music is fine, as long as it's good.

Woop. When I get back onto my other computer I'll start some stuff.

Im up for it. Would my band be excepted? We try to play electronic music using using rock instrumentation and a synth.

Rapidguitarist is in? He writes some good stuff, I can't wait to hear him.

Yeah that should be fine, as long as it's more or less electronic based rather than rock based.

If you're on a Mac you could always use Garageband, but there's tons of stuff out there. Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, FL, etc.

If you're on the cheap though try Reaper. It's technically free. Look around the internet for free VSTs/AUs as well.

I'd say let everybody submit anything. This thread could die quickly if borderline electronic songs can't be submitted.

And everybody sticky this so you don't forget.

4. Open the folder "Media."
5. Click on the file "onestop."

I'm accepting more or less anything, as long as it's electronic...? I thought that would cover a broad enough scope of possible submissions. And +1 to the sticky.

^^I like them. Definitely using two of them, can't remember the names at the moment cause iTunes is a prick when my audio interface is connected.

TS, I forgot to give you the name of my song. It's called "Neurotransmitter"

It's on my profile for those of you that want to hear it. It's laid back drum-and-bass (I think, as I'm not an expert on EDM genres).

I just need your MSN or whatever so we can talk business ( ; music)

I've got some basic ideas.

the "dmc" does not refer to Run-DMC, but to DeLorean Motor Corp.

Nope. Read the OP, discussion about collab to go on album = discussion about album

Here's a link to my (only) song.

The title is "Elation". The mp3 just saved as the project name in FL Studio when I made it last October, and I was too lazy to change it.

I swear, I wish I could write more, but between losing my sound card and not being able to finish a single song, creativity's coming slow.
