...In Slither? I can work out the intro to the solo but I dunno what scale he uses i think it's in E though.

Why don't you check for a tab here, and figure it out from that? I'm sure there are at least 50 tabs for it.

its in D

Yeah the Rhythm is in D cause Dave plays D, C, C/B, D

But I think Slash uses an E pentatonic on one part of the solo

Correct. And that is a real fun solo to play, imo. not too hard, not too easy.

If I remember, he starts and ends in the D minor pentatonic. But screws around in different scales in the middle of the song. I think he goes to D Harmonic minor for two licks, then goes back.

Yeah, I think after he does the full bends at the start of the solo he plays a lick that is structured by the E pentatonic the he goes into D.

alright maybe thats what it is. All I know is that he changes keys or scales at somepoint during the solo, it has been a long time since I played that one. But when playing Velvet Revolver, that is Slash's main solo technique, he changes scales/keys a lot during solos, only for one or two licks, but it gives the solo a really neat sound.
