Right now I have a Peavey 6505 combo and an ltd ec-1000. I was just wondering what additional equipment/adjustments I would need to get a creamier tone (like the first solo in fade to black) as opposed to the very fuzzy tone im getting now. (right now it has more of a classic rock kinda feel)

Thanks

You should be using the neck pup, and put quite a bit of reverb on. Put lots of didtortion on too, and more mids, than treble.

Hmm, the reverb on the amp sucks dick. Any good pedals you recommend?

I use my Digitech Whammy for playing chords, and it also works for the intro. But that's way to expensive, for what your going to be doing.

Probably. You were right about the mid and treble though. It sounds a lot better. Thanks!

No Problem. I played that intro about 800 times in my whole life. Which, gave me time to perfect the tone.
