hey so here's another amp on the local 'list, it's a 4x10 Trace Elliot combo, and for the price it seems like a pretty good deal! The problem is, I can't really find any specs or info on this amp. The pics make it seem like an older model, and the front panel says GP11. What can you guys tell me about it? I've heard from around here that Trace makes some pretty good stuff, I play reggae, ska, and other music involving deep bass. Thanks!

the specs i know nothing of. but damn that is old! aha i have a rah350smx and i just cracked it open today, its a 1994 and thats a gp12 so i could only imagine that one! if he put new speakers in it id say gor for it. worse comes to worse you salvage the head or the cab and make a frankenstein.

im sure this combo will give you a good deep bass sound. of course you could always round this off with a nice 1x15 or a 1x12 and give yourself a full sound.

go for it dude! great price for a great combo.
My name is Greg, use it.

Trace is good stuff. especially their older stuff. assuming it's of decent wattage I'd say go for it...sorry no specs here.

150 at what ohms? I'd contact the seller for information on wattage and such. it may be 150 at 8 and 250-300 at 4...and if you're going off the other amp's specs it may be totally different really.

EDIT: info on that exact amp.

it says nothing about an extension speaker out...which is sad. It does have a built in line out and I'm sure the tone is superb/versatile with that graphic eq. I dunno. try it out. see if it's really loud for 150 watts maybe.

REEDIT: ok this here says it has an extension speaker out for a second 4 ohm cab. it also states that his was made in the early/mid 80's so it's a pretty old amp, for sure.

Trace elliots are stupid loud for the rated watts. They made heads that were 150 watts that could compete with 300 watt heads. I would go for it.
