Over the last couple of days I've been debating what pedal to get. My main style is power metal. I like the look at the the Digitech X Series Multi-Chorus but I've also been looking at Digitech distortion pedals

Which of the distortion pedal best suits my style
BTW main guitar influences
Sam Totman
Marco Wreidt
Lucca Turilli
Gus G
Jani Liimanaten
Syu

etc

Didn't you post the same thread a little while ago?
Don't you have a Spider 3?
Dude, get a new amp if you have that....

^That amp's not a problem >.<
And the reason I made this thread is that X series stuff (like the chorus) seems to be a bit out of my price range, so I'm looking for distortion pedal instead.
I think the hot head suits quite well (aside from the country tone) so I might get that

Sure it is.

What are your thoughts on Digitech hot head?
I read some reviews saying it's good for hard rock and melodic/power metal (power metal being my main style) but according to my brother "I can do better things without" but the problem is X Series stuff is out of my price range >.<

Digitech Hothead...not too nice.
Power metal....I play a lotta that too, try the Visual Sound Jekyll and Hyde if you HAVE to go for a pedal, or the Blackstar DistX or the Barber Dirty Bomb.

NO PEDAL will help your tone if your amp sucks. That's what we're trying to tell you. AND, Spider IIIs don't take pedals well AT ALL. You're pretty much s.o.l. tone-wise unless you buy a new amp.

I just checked the prices of 2 of the 3 online and they're all over £100, I can't afford (sp?) that. Budget is one of the reasons I'm not getting a new amp
