just that..

i have a Palomino V32 2x12 Combo

and while i play in overdrive it will randomly get hissy, and then "short" and loose volume. like by half..

and when i go to turn the dials, it doesnt really do much for me.. more popping.

i think its only while im in overdrive...? i havent fooled around long enough in clean to check this (like i said, its random)

something i can fix myself?

...
Tubes are the component of the amp which amplifies the signal, which are now commonly replaced by transistors. Your amp will need EL84 power tubes and 12AX7 (I assume) preamp tubes. If you don't know what you're doing, read up some literature around the forums and such.

It should fix it, if not then something's wrong.
And get some electrical contact cleaner, spray it on the pins of the old tubes and then insert/remove the old tube with the contact cleaner on it many times, do this for all sockets. And if the sockets are a little loose, use a very small non conductive object to tighten them.
