Hey,

I have a Canon HG10 camera, and I have Adobe Premiere Pro on a Macbook. I don't know any specs, but the computer is "powerful" enough to handle most things.

When I copy the video files (which are .mts) to Premiere Pro, it can be opened and dragged onto the timeline. However, the playback is very choppy. I have read that AVCHD/.mts files have choppy playback in most peoples cases, but others don't have this problem. I'm wondering how I can have smooth playback with these file types.

The videos play like butter on my camera, and the file format is native to Premiere Pro. So I don't know where this problem arises. Keep in mind, my ideal situation is not having to convert the files.

Thanks for any help!
