Your best bet for cleans would be one of the Vox modelers like the VT or ADVT.

Theyre $350 new and if you cant save up another $50 then i'm sure you could wait for a sale somewhere or find one used for $250... What's your nearest major city, TS?

I got a crate flexwave 120 watt amp for $200 from world music supply. The cleans are good but make sure you have pedals for your distortion. The high gain channel has way to much bass and the crunch channel is decent. The reverb and delay are great but the phaser and flanger are terrible. I like mine for what I got it for.

The flexwave series all together is horrible. But I've compared my Gtd back to back with a ffriends flexwave. Its much better. But as thee rest of the posters (or most of them) said stretch for either the classic 30 or the B52.
Agile ps 900

The flexwave does suck on the dirty channels but the clean is decent. It's loud and under $300. I didn't say it was great just giving an option. I said you'll need allot of pedals which I have so that makes it better. The b52 at 112 is good but it is so unreliable. I wouldn't want a modeling amp unless you play many different genres of music.
