So a question to go with this then, does it actually make a difference what order you put the pedals?

It depends on preference, you should try both combos and see which you like more.
I personally line up overdrives before fuzz because if you kick on both, the overdrive acts as a clean boost for the fuzz. But that's just my preference, it really is up to you.

Darb, it absolutely makes a difference, especially when you have a large number of pedals. For my board, I use this order as the general rule of thumb:

Tuners/ Volume Pedal>
Wah>
Octave>
Overdrive>
Fuzz>
Modulation (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, etc)>
Delay (Analog before digital)>
Reverb>
Loop

Experiment with different orders, but I find that this works best for me.

Ok, you have 2 pedals, how hard would it be to just try, there is 2 possibilities. I mean c'mon that's up to you, put it how you like it.
