I have a 75w Line 6 Spider III that I got for christmas a few years ago collecting dust. I have the FBV Shortboard controler as well. Amp retials at 230 now and the shortboard is going for 260. (Funny, that my floor controller is worth more than my piece of crap amp). Both items were giged once, and look and sound mint, if thats actually a good thing.

If you sold it, what did you get. Im looking to dump it on craigslist and sell it to some metal head kid, but I have no idea what I should list it at. Is the package deal deal worth 350? 300?

You tell me. I want to make some money off this thing if I can.

Good luck getting $230 for it... All the people I've talked to said you'd be lucky to get it for $150 if the buyer is relatively smart. Not sure about the floor controller though.

Lol. I was that dumb metalhead kid you are speaking of. I got a 120-watt Spider Three. I like it and all, but everyone says they suck. Why is this?

You may not have as good of an ear for tone as other people (no offense). When I first got mine I didn't see anything wrong with it until I really started paying attention to tone, and that's when it hit me that I had made the worst decisions of my life

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

60? Think I might be able to get 70 for mine? I've been thinking of sticking it on Craigslist for either 60-80 dollars or a trade.

Yeah, I actually compared a Peavey Vypyr 75 to a Spider III 30 today, my Vypyr was much less fizzy and **** sounding.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Well that's the end of it's useful life if he uses it for bass.

A little off topic... But I'd like to ask you how your Vox Wah does with distortion?

EDIT: Like the amount of distortion Froosh would use in his solos?

its great, with heaver distortion it doesn't work as good like ratm sounds, but for froosh, hendrix, and other lower distortions it works great

Doubt it... If it can't handle RATM its very unlikely it can handle Smashing Pumpkins.

There will be somebody that wants it. Maybe put up for $250 obo.

But I would rather put up an ad for a trade. At least for me, whatever gear I sell I buy more gear with. Or just trade up for better ****. It doesn't hurt to put up an ad on CL and see what ya get.
