My strings are starting to piss me off, and I know exactly why... RUST!!! It pisses me off!!! I need to know what to do about it. I use D'Adario 10's. Thanks!!!

EDIT: What kinds of string cleaners do you guys(or girls) use?

LOL yeah the best you can do is change the strings... But if you cant for any reason, i have a friend who have very sweaty hands and he uses some vaseline on the strings...

Rust is corrosion. Strings don't magically get better unless you replace them....

Try washing your hands before you play with hot water and soap to get the gunk off them. That'll help.

I replace my strings every week or so, and if you having those problems, then your obviously not replacing them enough. String's are cheap, go out and buy some?

Well, it depends if you play in drop tunings or not. Ernie Ball strings are good but they're only good for a week. Rotosound are pretty good.

Mine tend to sound good until I decide to change them or they've been on there way too long. But they always feel/sound good for a lot more than a week.

TS. Wash your hands .. use some fast fret .. wipe the strings after playing

"Fast Fret"
It is perfect for what you explained, I have used it on my guitar for 3 years and it works great.
