I was just wondering: How would you wire an EMG 81 in the bridge and an SH2 in the neck? 1 volume 2 tone pickup selector and kill switch? Thanks

It would be a pain in the ass to do. Consult the Ultimate EMG thread in the Gear Building and Customizing forum.
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400 with Gotoh GE1996T (EMG 85/60)
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)
Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz V
Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40
Adam S3A monitors

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

what guitar is this? If it does not have pickup independent volume and tone controls, it's not going to work. Even if it does have independent volume and tone controls, it does not sound good.

You can't wire an active and a passive with only 1 volume knob.

Pretty much this even if you were to do it it wouldn't be worth it.

You could always wire the passive one directly to the jack. Loud as fuck, but it'd work.

To be perfectly honest, TS, there are lots of uncommon things in the world of guitars, but this is one of those things that's uncommon for a reason. I've got huge doubts that setup will mesh well at all.
