I think the scariest movie I've ever seen was "Darkness Falls." It scared the living balls out of me. If anyone hasn't seen it and is into horror flicks, I highly recommend it.

It was good, not scary AT ALL though. You clearly haven't seen a lot of good movies if that was the scariest.

There's SOOOOOO many of these threads, like seriously you need to use the searchbar.

I still need to see The Shining, Blair Witch, and Silence of the Lambs though.... The Haunting in Connecticut was actually very good, even though the commercials made it look like another stupid movie.

I heard "It" is stupid and only scary if you're like 12...

The Brave Little Toaster, if you're 12.

OMFG!! I remember that movie!!!! I loved that movie when I was like 5.

Ontopic: I have friends who were scared by that one movie where the girl comes back and she thinks their stepmom killed their real mom. I predicted the ending and I had to go. My friend calls back and she tells me I got it exactly.

the shining is my favorite movie of all time. silence of the lambs was a good one too. neither of them really scared me, but they are both really fun to watch.

Blair witch scared me for some reason...I think it's because it leaves a lot to the imagination, since it never actually shows any witches/ghosts/whatever (although you do hear them).

I've seen tons of horror movies, and only blair witch and the ring scared me (I saw the ring when I was like in 5th grade, so give me a break ). I'm a big fan of the older 70s/80s horror films. I just love watching them, but they don't really scare me or anything.

Movies just don't scare me, I'll jump if it's good, but that's about it. I'm on this mission this summer to watch a movie that truly scares me, that's why I'm hoping this thread gets something. I'm watching the shining this saturday though, so we'll see.

The only reason I said the haunting in connecticut was because it was a little scary and it deserves a lot more recognition than it got. I know everyone, including myself, thought it would suck, but it didn't.

I saw a bit of some movie called Head Trauma at my friend's house. The dialogue was damn ****ty, but the cinematography was great. You could see the hooded man every time the bald dude shined the flashlight toward the camera, like some sort of subliminal message.

I agree, but I was 11/12 at the time, so figures. The first cellar scene scared the crap out of me, I couldn't sleep that night.
