I just noticed a new guitar on the Ibanez site, the XP300FX:

I guess this guitar could appeal to a lot of starting guitar players, and with other pu's it would turn into a real decent metal guitar.
What do you guys think?

I only saw prices in Germany (I'm Dutch myself), they went for about €300,-
I guess they would be about $300 in the States as well...

Edit: and they go for around 250 pounds in the UK, can't find any USA prices

I'd prefer to save for an XPT700FX for the mahogany body & better bridge, also the pickups are a plus, but if you changed the pickups in the 300 model, I'd still prefer to save for the 700 model
& I'd probably have an XPT707, if I didn't hate rosewood fingerboards so much

Yeah, I would love to have an xpt700fx as well, but I feel there are just better guitars at that price range (which is why I got my Hellraiser instead). But at this pricerange, I think there are few better guitars... I haven't played one though, so I don't know!

The 300 has a mahogany body..

Looks like a Jackson Warrior Ripoff to me though (This from an Ibanez Fanboy)

But theres no reason why i cant be free like a raspberry stuck to the back of a horny elephants ass.

This is maybe the worst comparison in the history of comparisons.
