I'm currently saving for the Schecter Damien V FR.

and the B52 AT-112

What are the bad things about owning a V? I LOVE the shape , but it seems like it might get in the way. I really don't like the C shape that much...Have fun everyone

bad thing about owning THAT specific V is the LFR. it's ok, but not great, if you're gonna get it, get the non-floyd model and change the pickups from the stock passive EMG's. and play it in the classical position.

i'm saving up for the same amp and the Schecter Damien 7 and i'm looking around for some good 7-string pickups. so we have similar wants.

Digitech Whammy 4, that's about it, i could buy it right now, just scouting ebay for a used one.

Will I eventually have to replace the FR??

could always swap out the floyd for an OFR. should be a drop in replacement more or less.

you could replace the Floyd. it'll be $100.

and the HZ's aren't really good. they're kinda muddy and sound really stale.

the HZs aren't that bad. i think it's a preference thing. they definitely sound different from the actives, but whether that's a good or bad thing is really for the user to decide. i had a friend tuned to B standard on a 6 string using HZs. sounded fine to me.

replacing the floyd... go with Gotoh Floyd Rose
