I havent seen it, but try this:
Go to youtube. Use the searchbar. Look for videos of people playing that bass. See if you can tell the color better that way.

EDIT: I just tried, and couldnt find anything. Disregard the above.

I've noticed that sometimes the pictures of black guitars/basses on the internet can be tinted red a bit more than in real life...but I'm not sure if that's the case here...Honestly that could just be my monitor too so if you're seeing it then it prolly has a red tint. It might be black and shine with a red tint. My ibanez 775PB is like that. It's charcoal brown(which looks brown) until you actually shine a light on it. then it looks kinda red like the net pictures.
