so, just recently I bought myself a Mercyful Fate cd. Now, I've never listened to Mercyful Fate or King Diamond, and I thought it was going to be some badass blast beat typical 80's death metal. (forgive me for my ignorance)

This was my reaction:

now, this being said, have you ever purchased a CD or something and have been dissapointed by what it actually was?
#2
Yes.
When it came out, I bought Risk.(the Megadeth album, not the board game, which is fun)

Not even the breast made up for the **** on that album. Mind you, there is another album with breasts on the cover which is more than worth the price.

Look at post 426.

Now look at the date it was made. Notice how it hasn't been answered yet?

Now, look at the post below it. Notice the date THAT was made, and look how quickly it was answered.

I hate the modern rock forum, ignoring my posts. Pricks.

That was a big let down for me, I thought I'd get help.

I decided to be stupid and not listen to any of Chinese Democracy before it came out, and then buy the album

I was disappoint.

If that's not enough, I bought it at Barnes and Noble, the most overpriced store in the world.

It's a really great Axl Rose album. Just not a great Guns 'n Roses album.

Really? I thought the album was brilliant, although a bit weaker than their other stuff.

On topic: When I bought the first Arctic Monkeys album, everybody was raving on about how great they were. I was severely disappointed

Painkiller by Judas Priest. That was an awful album, apart from the title track. Every chorus consists of the title being shrieked over some generic riff. Id rather listen to Ram it Down on repeat while watching Rob Halford shove a dildo in his ass then listen to that **** again.

I didn't really like Spawn of Possession's most recent album. It was odd because I'm a fan of super technical all-over-the-place kinds of bands.

It was, and there were a few other okay tracks, but it totally wasn't worth the 15 year wait and the money I spent on it.

I bought the first 30 Seconds to Mars cd because a girl I liked loved the band. I had heard one song which I thought was decent. I appreciate some of their music, but it just doesn't float my boat at all.
