people need to stop giving axl rose crap because apart from being a bit of a d-bag nowadays and calling off shows hes a great frontman.
1. Mick Jagger
2. Steven Tyler
3. Zack De La Rocha
4. Freddie Mercury

and with my flame-shield engaged...

5. Billie Joe Armstrong

Talent-wise, he's nothing, but he's a good performer. He moves around the stage, interacts with other members well, has great crowd control. Green Day concerts may not always sound the best, but they're always fun.

Not the best singers/bands but all of them are fun to watch on stage

2. Axl Rose (He's an A**hole but he's got a ton of talent)
3. Jim Morrison
4. Eddie Vedder
5. Vince Neil

Why did ppl say Lars Ulrich, Jimmy Page, and Nikki Sixx... Last time I checked the frontman was the Lead singer regardless of who wrote the lyrics or is more of the face of the band.
Some of my favourites are:

James Hetfield (if you haven't guessed )
Robb Flynn
Phil Anselmo
Randy Blythe
Eddie Vedder

/stereotypical metal list.
On the topic of whiney singers.

But not Robb Flynn, he has epic vocal chords (they're made from barbed wire and gaffer tape).

and get Paul McCartney of that list, toe tapping is not an exciting performance.

Most of these are based more on their interaction with the audience rather than pure musical ability.
