i just got my first tube amp peavey valve king 112 and just wanted to know if theres any i should no about with tubes like extra precautions or anything.

1. Always use the standby switch, warming up and cooling down for at least a minute.
2. Tube amps store alot of voltage even when unplug, so don't go fiddling around in there unless you know what your doing.

well, first, do you know how to turn it on correctly? that's the main thing. other than that, make sure the amp isn't covered and has about 6 inches of room behind it so it won't overheat (don't put it right next to a wall).
