I'm planning on buyng a bugera v5 soon and I want to swap the stock tubes as they will be crap probably. I read that most 5 watters are cathode biased, how can I be sure it is?

Well usually anything less than 25 watts is almost always cathode biased; the manual should say what the voltage is.

^No I would want to bias it to be safe. So its not too hot so it redplates, when I get it I'll have a look through the manual, thanks guys, and yes its el84.
