Aight people, since for some reason i am not allowed to post in the Bands & artist forum i ask this in the pit!

Bowling for Soup is a band alot of you might hate or dislike, i don´t mind but!... They got a song called ´Friends of mine´ and i like the feeling and vibe of the song, this may sound lame and all but does anyone know other songs that has that feeling/vibe?

I searched for a while and i couldnt find anything, so mayeb a few of you already know songs like that

Link to the song on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWOpBbpdjRc

Don´t pay attention to the clip i just picked a video wich features that song.

Your last job only paid you $7.00 AUD an hour? That's like $6.05 in the US. What the hell is the minimum wage over there?

I'll leave the picture just 'cause it's funny, but no, I don't know any of those songs

Try Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Life By The Drop". Same thing with a negative vibe.

"Oh no, how dare you complain Bowling For **** with the Legendary Blues Legend that is SRV?"
Don't be an elitist. This is just my opinion.

EDIT: Mark Knopfler's "Quality Shoe" might be kinda similar.

Don't get me wrong but I see absolutely no similarities between the two.

He likes acoustic pop / campfire songs so you point him towards a blues ballad?

Thread starter, give this a try. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8z0PWOGdcI

Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
That's a bit of an insult to springsteen though.
I understand waht you mean by that vibe though. I will continue my search for similar songs.
White Lexus - Mike Doughty
that's not really that close, but I'm still trying. bear with me.

-Major scale
-Solo acoustic and vocals
-Songs about friends (although one's about losing a friend to alcoholism, but that's not the point)
-It's a nice song anyway, even if it's not 100% relevant he might still like it.
-Similar-but-not-identical chord progressions

What do you mean you can't access the Bands and Artists forum? As far as I'm aware you can't be banned from specific forums; If you've earnt a ban it applies to all forums for the duration of the ban.

You're either doing something wrong, having technical difficulties, or are lying, unless I'm horribly mistaken.

If you think there's a glitch or error on the page contact the appropriate members of staff. If I'm wrong and you're somehow banned, again, try and find out why you're banned from that specific forum.

I meant i CANT POST, there is no New thread button.

Anyway, thanks all in the pit some songs are really good.

I was thinking of Life Without You instead of Life By the Drop. My bad.

yes, life by the drop is a great, great acoustic song.

Well then you should report it as a glitch/error on the page and get it sorted out rather than redirect all your potential threads to the off-topics forum.

Will do, but that doesnt let me post in that part of the forum right away will it?

And that cool correction bro.... Nice find!

Life Without You is awesome! (the song)
