play Stairway To Heaven. What band would you want to play it (in other words: who would be your second choice to play Stairway To Heaven).
And yes I searched it.
Mine would probably be The Who. That would be intersting.
#3
Iron Maiden. Dave, Adrian and Janick going at it would be unbelievably epic.

Edit: I also wholesomely agree with Pink Floyd.

I have to choose? Muse. Just because they're my favourite band.

Iron Maiden would also have done a job of biblically epic proportions, as already suggested here.

Queen. The solo is epic, which isn't to say Brian'd do it badly(It's just be fairly different), but still, it's mainly vocal, and Freddie's one of the few vocalists I think can/could've stood to Robert Planet's vocals in that same range, though I like Freddie's more, so it's more of the other way around, so yeah.

Edit; I misspelled Plant's last name, but I like it that way looking at it; gives a good representation of his ego after winning those grammies.

Pink Floyd...

because it's a very obscure song and goes from quiet and meaning full to a picked up pace...plus i'm sure PF could add in some o their Special touch and make it ever more amazing that it already is

Wait, did you just call Stairway to Heaven a very obscure song?
two and a half men.

Pink Floyd or Queen.

Both would be able to put their own uniquely epic spin on it.

If that ending solo was injected with some May or Gilmour magic I would probably need new pants. Like, every 10 seconds.

Dream Theater. Petrucci would rape that solo, and Portnoy is the only one who could really interpret bonham.

Neil Peart is not amused.
