Right, I've got an Ibanez MTM2 Guitar, which came with a V8 and a V7 Pick-up in the Bridge/Neck positions. I changed them out to an EMG 81 and EMG 60 about a year ago... but i'm not getting the power and response from them as i do in other models which came with EMG's in. Am I missing something here, do i need some sort of Active Circuitry inside the guitar to make them work...

Help please!!!

are you leaving your guitars plugged in when not playing? that would kill them pretty quick.

Having a lead in connects the battery circuit, and would drain the battery if you left it plugged in.

Also..

If you didn't use a stereo jack, or wired the stereo jack incorrectly, the battery would drain constantly.
