Bought a line6 Toneport UX1 and along with it I got Ableton live lite. I've used it alittle now and starting to understand most of it but one thing I don't really get is that when I record one thing on say track 1, then pause and cut it some and then want to continue recording next riff that is supposed to start after riff 1 that is still ringing out some. When I, after cutting and moving riff 2 so they would connect, then listen to these 2 riffs that should, in theory, come off perfectly with riff 1 ringing into where riff 2 starts but instead riff 1's sound just dies out for a splitsecond and then riff 2 starts and it sounds awful. Does anyone know how to fix this, quite annoying little problem that really shouldn't be there.

P.S. I tried audacity but didn't like it, which means I don't want to try something else I want Ableton to work as it should 'cause I paid for it

record the dry input, link them together and run them trough your amp.

How would this help me?
