So if anybody follows my posts (which i doubt anybody does) haha, I was having a problem with my Peavey 6505+ where the standby channel would not turn off so that i could play. While this would not work, there was still power going to the head...

the answer to my problem was not 1... but 30 resistors blown

as well as 6 wires needing resoudering...
talk about broken.

Anyways it's all fix just thought i'd let you all know

Not a bad price, I usually charge $40 just for the diagnostic.. $5 extra for the work was a pretty good deal..

Not bad, replacing 30 resistors, resoldering wires and pobably doing some trace work in the process.

Did you knowingly play your amp through an ungrounded outlet?

Great way to die or cause some MAJOR damage....

Wait, really? So if I use an extension cord that had the prong broken off that's bad?

Deffinetly!
the ground prong keeps the amp from revieving a quick surge of power....

this could blow the whole amp.. like fried rice
