i have a digitech rp250 and was wondering if i need an amp, or can i just use a cab, and if i need an amp what kind do i need to get? my price range is $100-$200 USD.
(i dont need, or want, any effects)

In that price range I'd hook a Valve Junior combo to it.

You could hook up the RP250 to a cabinet with a power amp of some sort (Crate Powerblock comes to mind) but I wouldn't really recommend that.

Go for the Epiphone Valve Junior or a Crate Vintage Club series if you can/are willing to go used.

(curses) k thanks for the suggestions, and have y'all read the october 09 issue of Guitar Player(is it wierd i got it 2 months early)? it has a bunch of reviews for metal amps and im considering tryin to maybe get the b-52 LS-100 head. it seems to be a good amp.
