I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

'Kent' has been a fairly hackneyed brand over the years. Instinct tells me the J copy here is an early 70's (maybe '72-'75?) Jap or possibly Korean made Kent. They were okay instruments, 'cos the likes of Hoshino (Ibanez) and Matsumoku (Westone) would have made them under contract for Hagstrom, who used the brand name at the time.
It's an interesting curiosity, but don't expect too much from it, and don't pay more than the asking price.

How hard would It be to fix a warped neck?

Would it be something I could carefully do myself or something I should pay a pro to fix for me?
#7
most warped necks can only be replaced with a new neck.

Wood is more stubborn than your mother in law when it chooses to warp. You'd need a new neck for it.

Hmmm. Okay. Thank you everyone for the replies. I might be meeting him tomorrow to just check it out and see if the neck is warped and how bad it is. Anything else I should know or look out for?
