Whenever I switch strings the previous string leaves a kind of quiet buzzing noise. Nothing that can't be fixed by muting with the tip of my finger but I'm just wondering what it is.

Is this a problem when moving to a higher string or lower string?

Kind of a ringing noise when I take my neck off of the fingerboard.

fixed.

seriously, is it the note of the open string, like you were doing a pull off, or something else?

Does it always buzz when you don't touch the strings or bridge? If so, it could be a grounding problem.

It might be improper muting technique, or lack thereof.
