If you want to be a writer, you have to have BEATEN the game first!

1960, Mid-Atlantic

They told you, "Son, you're special. You were born to do great things." And you know they were right. The airplane you were comfortably biding your time in suffered an engine failure and crashed at 3:21 AM in the middle of nowhere. 6 feet below the water, you see a purse sinking with trinkets and tchotchkies, the great fire above the surface of the water fed by the gasoline. Suddenly the great steel behemoth comes surging through the water, it's meadering lights flickering their last lives.

The pressure beneath your lungs is aching and you can't bear any more. You swim toward the glowing orange surface, a forest of flames ringing you in like a lion in a circus. There is nothing. Nothing but a derelict of a lighthouse, a beacon calling you forth like a fly to honey. Next to you the tail of the plane is slowly but surely sinking along with the lives of the innocent below.

A) Search for any possible survivors struggling beneath the waves

B) Look for any floating purses for money or identification

C) Swim towards the mysterious lighthouse

D) Die

And this thread is over!

Wonderful match by TS but in the end simply overwhelmed by the pure skill and simplicity of unfluffed. A true professional in action.

Forsaking the pointless meaning of existence, you question whether you deserve to live while hundreds died for no reason. Exhaustion sets in, but you decide that what fate has in mind for you isn't worth the time. You drift off into a deep slumber, giving up hope for life. The sea is a merciless bitch.

Seeing as this one is dead, anyone remember the fat dude CYOA?

Indeed.

Fontaine himself swims out to rescue you, just before your death throes. You wake inside the entrance of the Lighthouse, alone, and light comes shooting forth as if sent by a God. Ironically, a red banner reads at the top: No gods or kings. Only man.

A winding staircase descends and culminates in a bathysphere. You enter and it plunges into the water below. A city underwater is borne before your eyes. A relic worthy of Atlantis herself, you marvel at the retro neon signs depicting a utopia, a perfect society that was shunned by the surface dwellers. You reach the vaulted entrance just as a blue whale swims peacefully past you. ALL GOOD THINGS OF THIS EARTH FLOW INTO THE CITY. Rapture.

The bathysphere comes up, but this is not the utopia you pictured. This is a place in shambles, electrical cables dangling with sparks and hisses just above pools of water. No light is here, save for the signs emanating in from the glass pane in front of you. You see a 2-way radio to your left.

A) Wait for someone to radio you

B) Pick it up and search for survivors

C) Leave it and open the bathysphere into the unknown
