power chord.

You need to find a better way to show us what you're talking about. Can you draw up a tab of the chord? Or are we talking about 5th and 7th intervals?

That's a diad. It is a root note (in this case, an A) and it's major third (in this case, a C#). If you were to add the note E to the diad (that is fret 5 on your B string), then you would have an A major triad.

5th on the g is actually a C, making it a minor third.
