Which guitar is better suited for me?

Dean Far Beyond Driven Dimebag Tribute ML or Dean '79 Series ML with Floyd?

Note: I have tried many guitars and the FBD was the one I liked the most. It had the look, sound, and best price range I was looking in to. I didn't try the 79 because no where had it.

PLEASE, do not make decisions based on the "dime" name on the guitar or anything. I really don't want to hear any "dean is killing his name" crap because I heard of enough of that whining for a life time.

Anyways, here is a details about me that might help out.

Music: Metal, blues, blues, jazz, and rock
Favorite artists: Dire Strait, Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Death, Behemoth, Gorguts
Style of music I write: Progessive death metal

Which has better...

Floyd rose:
Neck:

Thanks for dropping by. *opens door for Killedelphia19 and then shuts it*

Enjoy your Squier Strat and Marshall: AVT 50. Great choices in gear I tell you. I know that the FBD and 79 is worst than a Squier.

I also own a $2,400 Jackson U.S.A Soloist, and at the moment am saving for a Mesa single rectifier half stack. I was saying i wouldn't say anything mean, because i have played both of the guitars you inquired about on several occasions, and have found them to be complete trash. Just because i don't have the most amazing amp on the planet doesn't mean you need to be a total dickhead, and judge my playing based on it. I can guarantee you i can do things on that Squire that you couldn't even dream of. Oh, and speaking of Squire, you spelled it wrong.

It's funny how the Dean '79 has nothing to do with Dime. But, trust us, I'm not on a bandwagon, and anything with Dime's name with Dean guitars is not worth it.

The Dean '79 specs are:

* Flamed maple top
* Mahogany body
* 24-3/4" scale & 1-11/16" nut
* Grover tuners
* Locking nut
* Gold hardware
* 2 Dean humbucker pickups
* 2 volume and 1 tone, 3-way selector
* Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo bridge
* Set mahogany neck
* Rosewood fingerboard
* 22 jumbo frets

It's an ok guitar, but there's much better for the money. The pickups and the fact that the guitar is $940 and still has a Licensed Floyd are the weak points. Check out DBZ guitars if you want a Dean with the same shape.

Where in my post am I saying that you suck? and a dickhead? You're the one being the dickhead here because you come in this thread which is about the Deans you don't like and then leave an asshole comment that is saying that they suck? Now that is a dickhead.

You can do things on the guitar that I'm can't dream of? You haven't seen what I have seen or better yet know what I can play? tbh, I really don't care if you think your John Petrucci tbh.

EDIT: saying of spelling squire wrong this was copied and pasted from your profile.

Squier: Strat

Marshall: AVT 50

Jackson: SL2H Bolted Steel

It is clear you haven't played one, man. Seriously, the FBD has a great neck and feel. Call me a nood dime fan because I rather be a noob dime fan than a person that can form his own opinions and not follow bandwagons.

Jesus Christ, I should of seen this coming from a mile away.

Are there actual guitar players that can give some real incite on these two guitars without bias or bandwagon opinions? I really like to hear from people that had or have these guitars.

Have you ever thought that maybe the guitars really aren't that great? You asked for opinions, and you got them. Dime guitars are overpriced, and you could get a lot more for your money if you are to buy the '79 Series ML w/ Floyd.

I do agree with you on some points, as there are clearly some people who are on a band wagon in this thread who I'm not going to name.

If you are to get a Dean, get the '79 Series ML with Floyd, and replace the pickups or possibly trem. It is 600 dollars, I'm mistaken.

If i'm not mistaken, the '79 series is supposed to be really nice. I'd go with that, since the Dime guitars' quality is really not up to snuff with the price tags.

You have tons of people saying better guitars for the price but an ML is a hell of a lot different from a Jackson/Schecter/Ibanez/etc. superstrat... People prefer companies for a reason.

Thank you for understanding my situation and helping me out with my decision on my new guitar.
