My new guitar arrived a few days ago! It's quite a beauty.

Specs:
Set-Thru
25.5” Scale
Mahogany Body
Quilted Maple Top
Maple Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
Locking Nut
42mm Neck Width
Thin U Neck Contour
24 XJ Frets
Black Nickel Hardware
Grover Tuners
Floyd Rose Special Bridge
EMG 81 (B) / 85 (N) Active p.u.

I've played around with it and am loving it so far. However, tragedy struck two days before the shipment arrived. My amp broke. I'll have to go find a new one...

Also, I'm new to this whole getting a new guitar thing. Is there anything I should know about, or perhaps any sort of setup I need to do to the guitar now that I've received it?

Wow these pics really confirm my choice of 'next guitar'. I was looking at a Schecter C-1fr Hellraiser, but came upon this beauty thats $200 bucks cheaper (i don't need freakin coil-taps). It's absolutely gorgeous, and the stock EMG's are a nice little "!" on the price. But, being 15 and having no job.... i need to find a way to make me $700....yes, i do take donations ;-)

Did that guitar came with those pups, or have you made an improv?

Why don't you look up that model on the company's website and see?
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I think I've settled on the non-FR version of that guitar as my next axe.

Holy crap, I have the same guitar ... and I bought it around the same time you did ...

Anyways, great guitar, does anything from jazz to death metal, great specs ... don't think I need to say anymore.

EDIT: just make sure you get a setup on the Floyd for the action/intonation etc, unless it came with one.

I would have gotten the NT version
the MH-401 QM NT

It can handle 0.72 guage string
a friend has your guitar and can fit 0.62

I love the MH head stocks.

Gorgeous guitar, Ophelia is jealous, she wishes she came in red instead of brown.
